Creation of an EDLR Remedial Center

We know that education changes the world, it is an essential building-block of development, it gives everyone the power of choice, it is the most powerful tool for emancipation

Our Remedial Center will be a place of learning and remediation.
Apart from the classic schooling which will enable the child to develop like other pupils, universal values such as independence and responsibility will also be fostered so as to develop the child’s self-esteem and confidence. On these new bases, the child will be able to choose to become an active being in his learning of life skills

The second assignment for the ZAZAGASY Center will be to support the teaching staff and parents in developing the project they have undertaken.


Working towards this will involve the effective participation of Malagasy professionals.

Teachers, educators, moderators and social workers will work with the children and their social environment.
These professionals will work closely with the Fokontany (neighborhood administrative authority) and the future schools the children will enter.



We cannot think of educating a child with an empty stomach! That is why the « Zazagasy » Center will provide a daily meal as our budget allows.

Sponsors pay 55 Euros per year. Volunteers of the chain on location allocate to the children’s parents or guardians a monthly sum to pay their school fees.

Volunteers also monitor the children’s school attendance through strict verification of School Attendance Cards.
Cards are stamped every term by the management of schools.
On the first day of the school year, control is conducted by people in charge, based on the registration certificate issued by the school, which is also verified for authenticity.
