To become godfather for some children of the street of the capital of Madagascar

Sponsorship is generally the single chance to leave poverty for the stripped children of Antananarivo.
Thanks to your generosity these children will be able to build a better future and to feel protected on the way from their success.

How big is EDLR?

EDLR has a dozen volunteers in Antananarivo and Belgium, and 355 sponsors all over the world, who supply the educational fees of 355 children in the capital of Madagascar.

What roles do EDLR members play (volunteers and sponsors)?

The volunteers

identify the children in need,
enroll them in a school,
check that they actually attend it,
hand out the grants every month,
establish the contact between the child and its sponsor,
organize a party at Christmas,
raise money from local businesses to cover the costs of this party,
and report annually to the sponsors and donors.

To organize the Christmas party, many extra volunteers both local and from overseas join the existing teams to ensure the success of the party.

		The sponsor pays a yearly sum to cover enrollment in a school.

		Unless in exceptional circumstances, sponsorship ends when the child reaches the age of 18 or leaves school.

		Every year, a General Meeting is convened to examine and approve the Association’s management and accounts.

Sponsoring a child ...
Sponsors pay 55 Euros per year. Volunteers of the chain on location allocate to the children’s parents or guardians a monthly sum to pay their school fees.

Volunteers also monitor the children’s school attendance through strict verification of School Attendance Cards.
Cards are stamped every term by the management of schools.
On the first day of the school year, control is conducted by people in charge, based on the registration certificate issued by the school, which is also verified for authenticity.

In addition, all the children are registered at OSTIE (medicare), so their health is monitored

ZAZAGASy project

Our ZAZAGASY Remedial Center has for objective to hold out the hand to the needy children.

By communicating with them gentillement and with love the envy to go out of their poverty by the knowledge of the instruction.

Our purpose is to give them the keys of the success towards a better future by educating them correctly.
