ZAZAGASY Ladies and Gentlemen, You have probably been invited before to taste a new brand of drink, buy a new appliance, do a number of things, or even pray… We’ll get right to the point, here we will tell you of a much nobler idea… Anyway, you be the judge! Everything began in Madagascar in 1997. Yes, in this so-called superb, of-a-thousand-smiles, and especially charming island. But behind this image, there is a dark side. When the words "breakfast", "world" or "dreams" are unknowns to thousands of children, we call that a dark side. So, WE : the Enfants de la Rue International Chain of Solidarity have worked for the past 12 years to cover the educational needs of over 3,000 children. (See details on EDLR further down). We have been working with the conviction that we are helping children in need. This has borne fruit, but now, the precarious existence of some children urges us to move a step further. That is why, to help these very poor children, we decided to set up a Remedial Center for them. This project is called ZAZAGASY, which literally means "Malagasy child". |
